About me

Designer working in the public sector, and lecturer in design and arts higher education.

I am currently Lead Designer at the London Borough of Camden, and was previously Senior Service and Interaction Designer at The National Archives.

My practice in public-sector design focuses on accessibility, co-design, and research-led outcomes, alongside open approaches to complex digital transformation.

Alongside my professional design practice, I am a part-time Associate Lecturer at the Creative Computing Institute, and formerly Course Leader for BA (Hons) User Experience Design at University of the Arts London.

I have written many programmes of learning over the years of running an undergrad design course. You can read about some of my teaching here:

In 2016, I transitioned from a career in programming to UX design in the public sector and teaching in higher education. While I no longer write code day-to-day, I still value the craft and occasionally take on small programming projects. You can see experiments such as the generative contour logo for this site here and here.

Earlier in my career, I worked on artist-led projects as a creative technologist and technology consultant — for example, collaborating with artists and researchers from the University of Exeter on the Arts Council–funded Museum of Contemporary Commodities.

I have also exhibited my own work, including User Agent at the London Design Festival (LDF) 2018, and participated in the group show, Obtrusive Relationships at LDF 2019.

Across both teaching and creative practice, I focus on co-producing spaces for critical reflection, and creating interventions in networked technologies and software.
